"Hello again, many people have been asking me for my comments on the MVP speech controversy. Just to clarify, the speech which i previously posted was MVP's address to the Ateneo School of Science & Engineering and School of Management graduates, which was held on the first day of the ceremonies. This was not the speech that had borrowed quotes from JK Rowling & Oprah. Rather, this came directly from his mind and heart.

The speech that had sparked controversy was the second one he delivered the following day to the Ateneo School of Social Sciences and Humanities graduates.

That's right, he prepared two totally different speeches for the two days. First of all, there was no obligation for MVP to accept the invitation to be the guest speaker for this commencement exercise. He had already spoken to an Ateneo graduating class a few years ago. This time, he not only accepted one, but he whole-heartedly accepted both invitations even if he could have politely declined. We all cannot imagine what kind of schedule this man has to deal with every single day, being Chairman & board member of the largest corporations in the country like PLDT, Smart, Philex, MetroPac, First Pac, Maynilad, Meralco, to name a few. In fact, I believe he just flew in that morning from a business trip to Hong Kong in order to deliver his speech in the afternoon. Despite that, he accepted both invitations and opted to prepare two different speeches when he could have just prepared the same one for both days.

The reason for that reflects the deepest sincerity of MVP because he wanted the students from different fields to be able to better relate to his words. Many criticisms have emerged and that is expected because of the stature and integrity of this man. Just like a perfect Tiger woods committing infidelity, but of course this issue is nowhere close to that in magnitude. But to me, i think what's truly essential is to look at the bigger picture - the intention. From accepting and making two separate speeches despite all the circumstances, it is clear that MVP wanted to impart his wisdom to the graduates in order to ENCOURAGE and to INSPIRE them to succeed in life. That alone tells us the kind of man that he is. He could have taken the easy way out and simply declined. It was indeed a mistake to fail to cite and give proper reference to JK Rowling and Oprah but his intention was not for people to praise him as a great speaker by borrowing those lines, but rather he wanted to extract their creative minds by supplementing those words with his personal experiences. If you've read or listened to the speech, i can say about 95% of the content came from his personal stories and own wisdom. The borrowed lines are there to supplement and add a little more flavor.

At the end of the day, a mistake was done and it cannot be taken back. But let's look at the positive side. This is a lesson for MVP and for every one of us. Even the mightiest of the mighty are entitled to make mistakes. It doesn't make them less of a person. Jesus said "He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her." What is valuable is that we are deeply sorry.

In his letter to Fr. Ben Nebres, MVP expresses his sincere apology and his wish to be disconnected from Ateneo. It really takes a lot of courage or "balls" as our Coach always puts it, to own up to your mistakes. MVP is truly a leader we should admire because of his love for the Filipino people, his exceptionally generous heart and his incredible courage!

However, being disconnected from Ateneo... Being an alumnus and former Blue Eagle, I definitely hope not!"

 The Issue:
Anne Curtis, an actress/TV host, have been controversial because of her so-called "Wardrobe Malfunction". It was in Boracay where it happened, while she was dancing in ASAP XV to promote her movie, Babe, I Love You, her right breast was accidentally exposed wherein there are people who took chances to take photos of her. These photos were published in newspaper tabloids which made her lowered her diginty. She talked to her Dad, and several days or week after, she decided not to sue those published her controversial photos.

My opinion to this issue:
Actually I didn't pay much attention to this issue. Yes, I heard of it in the television but I didn't have the intention to google for her controversial photos but while surfing the net, I accidentally saw her pictures that's why i had the idea to blog this out.

I pity Anne for what had happened to her but to the fact that they would blame the wardrobe, I wouldn't agree to that. She has the responsibility to check things out if there are no "malfunction" in them. She was negligent on what she wear or what, noting that this was not the first time that this happened, there were also other pictures of her in the net regarding "nip-slip".

Steven Silva: "'yung feeling ko, masaya ako. Pero parang I'm happy, pero alam ko that the journey is just starting. I'm so happy for this, sobrang masaya ako, pero it's just a title. Tapos, if I don't prove [myself], sayang talaga."

Sarah Lahbati: "Sobrang saya po talaga. Hindi pa rin po ako makapaniwala kasi si Diva napakagaling niyan. Sinabi ko nga fan ako ni Diva--ang galing sumayaw, sa acting at saka sa singing. [Pero] kahit ano kasi puwede pong mangyari sa StarStruck. Ang pinaka-challenge is after StarStruck, so gagalingan ko po, at excited na ako."

It Happened Last Night

After two Final Judgments held at the Marikina Sports Complex, StarStruck returned to its roots yesterday, February 21, with one jam-packed show held at the Araneta Coliseum. And keeping in theme with the return to roots, nagbalik rin ang original hosts na sina Dingdong Dantes at Nancy Castiliogne para samahan ang StarStruck V hosts na sina Dennis Trillo, Carla Abellana and Raymond Gutierrez for this very special night.

The show quickly went underway with a performance from choice StarStruck alumni to get the crowd ready for the showdown later on. Mark Herras, Jennylyn Mercado, Mike Tan, Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica started it off before the Final V entered the stage.

Rocco Nacino, Enzo Pineda and Steven Silva were then joined by the boys of StarStruck, composed of Rainier Castillo, Dion Ignacio, Alvin Aragon, Kevin Santos, Prince Stefan, Paulo Avelino, Jan Manual and Dex Quindoza.

Meanwhile, sina Diva Montelaba at Sarah Lahbati naman ay sinamahan nina Yasmien Kurdi, Sheena Halili, LJ Reyes, Iwa Moto, Arci Muñoz, Rea Nakpil, Vaness del Moral, Stef Prescott and Chariz Solomon.

The opening number ended with StarStruck V's Avengers joining in the party on stage, promising the crowd that it was going to be a good, good night.

Siyempre, hindi mawawala sa Final Judgment ang Avengers skit kung saan a recap of the elimination process is shown. This year is no different except the StarStruck V mentors also joined in the fun sa pagtanggal ng mga Avengers one-by-one. At nakipagsabayan rin sila kay Marian Rivera sa isa pang dance number!

The Final V's Final Performances

Bawat isa sa Final V contenders may inihandang kanya-kanyang mga show-stopping numbers para sa kanilang final performance at the Final Judgment. But which ones really did stop the show? You decide.

First up is Enzo Pineda with a mash-up of Jay Sean's "Down" and "Do You Remember?". After his performance, Iza Calzado told him that his performance showed just how determined he is to prove that he can be the Ultimate Male Survivor. She even remarked that "Enzo Pineda is an adorable performer."

Up next is Diva Montelaba who sang and danced to Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" and Alexandra Burke's "Bad Boys". Floy Quintos commented that kung noon daw ay napipintasan si Diva na walang joy ang performances niya, and then saying, "Tonight, you found your joy."

Sumunod na nag-perform si Steven Silva with Iyaz's "Replay" and David Guetta's "Sexy Chick". Lolit Solis told Steven, "Dapat pala lagi [kang] nasa Araneta," adding that it was his best performance in the whole competition.

Fourth is Sarah Lahbati with a live performance of Miley Cyrus's "The Climb" and Kelly Clarkson's "This is My Now". Iza Calzado said that the Council thought before na they had already lost the Sarah they first met, "but look where you are now." Iza added, "Never forget the fighter within, and you will make it in this industry."

Rocco Nacino brought up the rear-end of the Final V final performances with a very rousing rendition of Kris Allen's "Live Like We're Dying" and Adam Lambert's "For Your Entertainment", complete with a shirt-ripping ending. Floy Quintos then told him that from what the Council had seen, Rocco was the hungriest for the title. "You want this more than them [and] that makes you a winner."

Matapos ng kani-kanilang mga individual performances, the Final V performed one more number with the past winners of StarStruck--Jennylyn Mercado, Mark Herras, Ryza Cenon, Mike Tan, Jewel Mische, Aljur Abrenica, Kris Bernal and Mart Escudero.

After that, nagbalik rin ang Avengers for a number wherein they each performed the goodbye songs of the episode they were eliminated in.

The Avengers were also given their own awards, by Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, which culminated in the two announcing that the Avengers are now exclusive GMA contract stars.

The awards were: Still Standing Strong Award (Nina Kodaka), Breakthrough Dance Performance Award (Rox Montealegre), Fighting Spirit Award (Rye Burgos), Reyna ng Runway Award (Fianca Cruz), Vavavoom Award (Zeryl Lim), May Ibubuga Pa Award (Sef Cadayona), Warrior Princess Award (Princess Snell), Staying Alive Award (Ian Batherson), and Future Hitmaker Award (Piero Vergara).

The Final V were then serenaded by Jay R and Kyla, singing Kelly Clarkson's "Break Away", before the hosts asked the council for their last messages.

Lolit Solis said, "Kahit anong mangyari; starting tonight, artista na sila."

Floy Quintos told the five, "Sometimes you felt that you hated us, but tonight, we're all proud of you."

And Iza Calzado reminded them of what she had said when the Final 14 were announced: "Let your head fly, but keep your feet on the ground." She then added, speaking for the three of them, "It has been a privilege for us to be your Council members."

The Winners and the Prizes

As title holders, the Ultimate Male and Female Survivor will each receive Php1.5 million in cash and a contract with GMA Network that will amount to at least, Php3.5 million.

The First Princess, and the First and Second Princes, will also receive contracts from GMA Network, and a cash prize of Php200,000 each.

On hand to award the title of Ultimate Female Survivor was Executive Vice President and COO of GMA Network, Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr. And as soon as the hosts announced that Diva Montelaba is claiming the First Princess title, Sarah Lahbati automatically became the Ultimate Female Survivor.

But it wasn't as easy pagdating sa guys! With three boys vying for the Ultimate Male Survivor title, the first person called would take the second runner-up position, which is now known as the Second Prince title, and this person is Rocco Nacino.

And without drawing the suspense any further; Chairman, President and CEO of GMA Network Attorney Felipe L. Gozon then awarded Steven Silva the title of Ultimate Male Survivor, automatically making Enzo Pineda the First Prince.

"PERFUME MAKING"

Materials needed:
Spray bottle
Glass container
Vodka/ Ethyl Alcohol
Distilled Water
Filter Paper
Fragrance Oils

Procedures:
Mix all fragrance oils (based on your recipe) and then mix
Add Alcohol then mix
Add distilled water and then mix again
Let it settle for hours/days (based on your recipe)
Filter the solution to make it clearer.

Uses of Materials:
Fragrance oils - it is what gives the scent to the perfume
Alcohol/Vodka - it makes the scent of the perfume last longer
Glass container - it is where you will mix all the ingredients

Notes:
Do not use plastic container in mixing oils and other ingredient for it will absorb the scent/smell/odor of your product.
If you did not filter your solution, the perfume will got blurred when shaken.

Corazon Cory Aquino was a President of the Philippines. She served as the 11th president of the Philippines from 1986 to 1992. She was the first female president in the Philippines and even in Asia.

He is also internationally known, he is the singer of the theme song of the animated film "Kung Fu Panda". He is also known for his song entitled "Even if". And he also play the lead character(Troy Bolton) role of "High School Musical" on stage.
